How Fresh.Energy collects, uses and protects your information, and how Google AdSense uses cookies.
Who we are
Fresh.Energy ("we", "us") is an independent website at fresh.energy. You can reach us through our contact page.
What we collect
- Information you give us in forms: quote requests (project details, postal code, contact details), contest entries, applications, pledges, partnership inquiries and newsletter sign-ups.
- Calculator inputs stay in your browser. They are not sent to us unless you choose to submit a form that includes them.
- Technical data such as device type, approximate location and pages viewed, collected by our advertising partner and standard server logs.
How we use it
- To respond to you and deliver what you asked for.
- For quote requests: to match you with up to three vetted providers — only when you tick the consent box. Those providers use your details to contact you about your project under their own privacy policies.
- To run contests, send newsletters you opted into, and improve the site.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. Form submissions are delivered to us through a secure form-processing service (FormSubmit).
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also choose "Essential only" in our cookie notice to request non-personalized ads. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland may be shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent platform.
We also use small local-storage entries to remember your theme, currency and cookie choice.
Embedded videos
Videos load from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) only after you click play. YouTube may then set cookies under Google's privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA or Australia's Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, to withdraw consent and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Use our contact page (topic "Privacy request") and we will respond within 30 days.
Retention and security
We keep form submissions only as long as needed for the purpose you gave them, typically up to 24 months, then delete them. We use HTTPS throughout.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16; contests are restricted to adults.

We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
